So I have Internet Explorer 7 beta 3 RC1 or w/e and recently it stopped caching my pages at all. I've set the amount of disc space to use to 70 MB and to let it Automatically check for updates of pages, and I don't delete the temporary files, yet whenever I go to GMail there is a noticeable pause on The Loading page. Normally it skips that page since it's already been cached, but nowawadays it stays there for like 1 minute.
